Every time I see the foundtain pens at the stationary store, they attracts me somehow. It looks delicate and the troubles / cares that it requires probably attract me. On one occasion when we visited Vienna, I mentioned that I want one to Ja. Couple of weeks has passed and I got one delivered by friends who are visiting from Thailand.

It was the Pilot kaküno 万年筆. I was happy that the Japanese still made one with decent quality and at the affordable price point which you wouldn’t regret if you use it once and you don’t like it.
Two wheels, To Archelse Kluis

I almost forgot how to write with the real pen (I have been using iPad pencil once a while for drawing). Fine finger movements become so jerky. Pressures are excessive.
One wheel, Openlucht Musee

I do think I still write a lot - writing code. I started to return to writing blogs. But never really with the real pen and paper.
Work from Kuekenhof

These skills become less and less relevant in the society nowadays but I do think it’s necessity to keep my brain & muscle trains just like physical trainings. When less and less people know how to do such mechanical scribing, it appears to be more valuable to me.
Work from Kuekenhof

Just a notepad that doesn’t require USB charging. Much much lighter & cheaper than the iPad. While taking a break during museum visit, I stop and draw.

Proportion isn’t right, full of imperfections but I told myself keep drawing without draft. One day, I hope I attain that new skill.
Let’s relax, Musee d’orsay

I started to see the world as relative intersections of lines and points. Colors and shadows became more recognizable. I want to draw in one pass.

It became easier to stay outdoor and stay in one place for many ten of minutes by focusing on the subjects and draw.

But it’s still very hard to render the still image from motions. I need to draw more. Food arrives at almost instant when I draw.
Nous4, read like Nuget

Queuing for an hour, under a beautiful sunshine, felt almost like a fleeting moment. Many small subjects are sometimes more beautiful than a grand scene.
Giveny, one hour

Ja bought Oil pastels from Sinnelier. Professional grade colors on elementary skills reveals just how far I am from Monet.
A bridge in Giveny

When we take a picture, we wait for the moment that there is no people with the hope to capture a clean landscape. On pen and paper, you draw what you want to be seen.
